Hi there!

I am so glad that you have stopped by to find out more about me and what I do best – problem solving through finding patterns and understanding how different people think, feel and behave.

Whether you are searching for a clinical psychologist to help improve your emotional and psychological wellbeing, or wanting to get to know yourself on a deeper level; understand how your family upbringing and cultural values influence your behaviour and interpersonal relationships

– I’m here for you.

As a qualified and experienced clinical psychologist, I take on an individualised approach to support you on your journey of personal growth.

Although my preferred treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), my therapeutic approach also takes into account my client’s preferences, or feedback, also known as Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT). The use of FIT has been linked to better therapy engagement and improves overall treatment outcome. I am open to working with you to ensure that the therapeutic approach is tailored to your needs and helpful in achieving your goals.

Let me support you to be authentically you.

As a Clinical Psychologist for more than a decade now, I have worked with many individuals from different age groups and cultural backgrounds. Whether it is within my clinical practice or in my personal life, I see and know a lot of people, especially women; juggling different roles and competing demands, making tough decisions and sacrifices in order to build the wonderful life that they want to have.

You work so hard and you’re always busy. You try to do the right thing by everyone. You prioritise looking after people around you first, making sure everyone else is happy. You might try to take some time out for yourself occasionally, but eventually you wake up one day and realised you’ve hit a wall. No matter how hard you try to push yourself, deep down you know you just can’t continue on the same way anymore.

You might start to feel anxious and worried about what’s to come and the amount of things that is piling up, waiting for you to complete. You start to dread seeing people you used to love to see and you couldn’t imagine taking on more commitments as you are already overwhelmed and exhausted. Your exhaustion also comes from pretending to everyone (including yourself) that you are “fine” and you have it better than many other people. So the guilt sets in. It weigh so heavily on you that you have lost all motivation and energy. You start to feel so helpless and hopeless.

You have no idea how you got to feeling so miserable. You’re frustrated and confused because you know you need to get yourself out of this isolating, deep, dark hole. But the more you fight, the more you feel like you’re sinking. You’re now at a loss and feel like giving up.

I want to let you know – you don’t have to go through this alone. We can get through this together.

The power of “a problem shared is problem halved”

The current research shows that most people will start to see a real shift in positive change after 3 to 4 sessions. That is because we can make sense of emotional stuckness when we put words to it and label it through the act of talking it through or writing it down, in a safe and supportive space. This gives the brain the opportunity to process the experience and store the memory away. It is then we can truly move forward.

There’s nothing more satisfying to me than to witness my clients transform their lives right in front of me, session by session, demonstrating change through making a different decision or saying yes (or no) to something they never thought they could!

Whether you’ve considered this or not, you’ve already started the change process by acknowledging your struggles which has led to your search for a qualified and experienced clinical psychologist that you can trust to support you. First steps are never easy, but you’ve already got the ball rolling. Let’s build on this momentum.

It’s easier to revert to avoidance or blaming others to shield us from the painful feelings. That’s what keeps us stuck. It takes courage to feel the uncomfortable feelings, open up and look inwards in order to find a better way forward.

Please feel free to call reception or book online if you would like to have an appointment with me. I look forward to working with you as an investment to your mental wellbeing.
